Samsung Galaxy S26 Camera: How to Record Corner Overlay Video on S26 Plus and S26 Ultra Step by Step
How to Put a Camera Video in the Corner While Recording on Samsung Galaxy S26, Plus and Ultra Camera
Learn how to record a corner overlay video on the Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra Camera using Dual recordings. This feature lets you place one camera's video stream in a smaller window over the main camera view, creating a Picture-in-Picture style recording.

To create this effect, open the Camera app and select Video mode. Open Quick Controls and select Dual recordings. Choose the Picture-in-picture layout when available. The main camera feed will occupy most of the screen while the second camera feed appears as a smaller overlay.

For example, you can use the rear camera to record the main scene while the front camera shows your face in a small corner window. This is useful for vlogging, reaction videos, tutorials, product demonstrations, travel videos, interviews, presentations, and commentary.

Before recording, check both camera previews and position the smaller video window where it does not cover the important part of the main scene. Depending on the available Camera controls, you may be able to change the size or position of the smaller window.

If Dual recordings is not visible, check Video mode and Quick Controls first. On newer Samsung software, Dual rec can be integrated into Video mode. Camera Assistant may also provide Dual rec as an additional camera mode on supported Galaxy devices.

You can also check the Dual recordings saving options. Depending on the software version, you may be able to save the recording as previewed or save the individual camera recordings as separate files. Separate files are useful if you want to reposition, resize, or edit the two camera streams later using a video editor.

For better results, use good lighting for both cameras, keep the phone steady, and avoid covering the cameras or microphones. A tripod or stable phone mount can be useful when creating tutorials, demonstrations, or longer recordings.

If the corner overlay does not appear correctly, restart the Camera app, restart the phone, check for software updates, and make a short test recording. Make sure there is enough storage available for the recording.

Remember that the exact Dual recordings layouts, controls, and menu locations can vary depending on the Galaxy S26, S26 Plus, or S26 Ultra model, One UI version, Camera app version, and selected recording mode.

Always review a short test clip in Gallery before recording an important video. This confirms that both camera streams are being recorded and that the corner overlay is positioned as expected.
