In the U.S. we use 500,000,000 plastic drinking straws EVERY DAY! And most of these straws don't get recycled. Plastic lids are also a problem, likely made from a plastic polymer that is hard to recycle (Usually #6). Here's a simple way to reduce this plastic waste...skip the straw and dis the lid.
