- Always wash your hands with soap and dry with a lint-free towel. Dampness makes the lens stick to your finger.
- Use eyelid wipes to clean your lids before touching them during insertion.
- Separate your right and left lenses on your workspace to avoid mixing them up.
- Never insert a damaged or dirty lens. Rinse it with multi-purpose solution first.
- Hold the top eyelid firmly at the lash line with your opposite hand to prevent blinking.
- If the lens won't release, make sure your finger is bone dry and the lens is barely resting on it.
- Getting closer to the mirror helps reduce the blink reflex for many people.
- Don't get discouraged! Most people don't get this on their first try.
