🐜Ticks are more than just a nuisance; they can transmit serious diseases like Lyme disease, Rocky Mountain spotted fever, and more. 🛡️ Learn how to protect yourself effectively and enjoy your outdoor adventures without worry. I also suggest doing some light online reading regarding ticks and their diseases, so you know what to look for and symptoms. My daughter had atypical symptoms and they were few, so it could have been easily overlooked.
Key Tips:
Wear long sleeves, pants and a hat. Tuck in everything possible.
Use insect repellent containing DEET or preferably permethrin. Read all instructions!
Perform visual tick checks after being outdoors.
Shower soon after being outdoors.
Keep your gear in the center of trails.
