Learn how to properly load and holster your pistol! Beginners this is how to load and holster your pistol. You might concealed carry, open carry, duty carry, etc. Either way, there is one main accepted way to load and holster you pistol. First keep the pistol in your work space, this is in front of your body around your eyes. This keeps your vision in front of you so you are aware. Keep you opposite hands pointer finger on the inside of the magazine, this acts like a guide into the magwell. Holding the magazine this way then allows you to roll your hand forward and grip the gun while engaging the slide lock, sending the slide forward and into battery. Then slightly open the chamber, many ways to do this, and do a press check. See if brass is loaded into the chamber. Then give the back of the slide a hit to ensure it is in battery.
