How to restore vintage weights, like York, is easy. Turn rusty vintage weights into trusty muscle pumpers! Simply take your rust covered dumbbells or weights, scrub them all over to remove most of the rust and surface rust with a wire brush on the end of a drill, then clean them with alcohol to get all the dust and to prep the surface for the next step, then take CRC Rust Converter and paint it on or use a rag to coat the weight or dumbbell. Allow it to sit and it will go from milky to black over time. Do a good three coats. Once three coats are on and any excess has been removed, let it dry over night. I recommend doing it in a plastic container, as if you do it on paper it will adhere to the paper.
