We hate to break it to you, but…
Just going through your song over and over again isn’t helpful and won’t make the harder parts easier to sing.
Here’s what to do instead.
1. Do a quick warm up. 5 minutes is usually enough.
2. Run through your song and note what needs work.
3. Go over those spots and alternate with vocal exercises to work our the kinks.
4. Run through the song again and see if it needs any more tweaks or if you’re all set now!
You don’t have to nail the song in just one day either… It’s ok if it takes a couple weeks!
But this system here will get you much better results with 20 minutes of practice than just going through your song 5 times in a row.
