When editing anything in Adobe After Effects, you want the exported video clip or animation to play at the same speed as inside the editing software, but that is not always the case.
What you do to prevent this issue is to right-click on your composition (either in the timeline window or in the project window) and click “Composition Settings”.
Here, you check what “Frame Rate” your composition is set to, click OK, and then go to the “Preview” window.
This window shows at what settings you want to review your composition at when hitting play.
So if the “Frame Rate” here is set to the same number as the composition, it should play the composition at the correct speed.
