On this week's Artist Diary Video, I’m deep into a body of work based on old family photos. People often say they want to paint loosely or be more expressive, but what does that actually look like? And how do you stay true to the subject while also allowing the painting to surprise you? In this video, I share the process of finding my way on one painting, and show how I stay loose all the way through the process.
