Have you ever pushed a painting too far? In my second artist’s diary video, I share one such disaster.
Watch as I create an abstract painting from scratch, building layer after layer, looking for just the right mood and feeling. And then watch as I push right past the finish line, turning an exciting abstract into “blah.” Every artist knows this feeling, and we wish we could press an ‘undo’ button to get back to what we lost. But of course, this isn’t an option, so we have no choice but to get back to work and hopefully find a new painting.
This one was a wild ride, but I am so glad I filmed it because at least I have a record of what could have been :)
