Multigang or other special potentiometers are expensive and hard to source, here I show a simple method to make your own potentiometers.
There several electronic circuit cases where you may need to have a multiple #potentiometer ganged together. Double pan pots or inverted pan require a very special potentiometer, music synthesisers may have modules that may use special potentiomenters, and in my case it is a lab bench power supply where I want a synchronized adjustment of the current limit for multiple output voltages.
Starting from trimmers and a "sacrificial" regular potentiometer I show how you can make your own special potentiometer.
You can make triple, quadruple, or more ganged pots. Or mixed resistive values, or different curves. For example to make a logarithmic pan potentiometer, with an additional variable resistor for a tracking signal you'd need a dual gang pot where one has a B curve and the other one has a C curve, and a third ganged pot. You can make one with just two very common and super cheap B trimmers specularly mounted and a third A trimmer.
