Whether you use a Midori, Fauxdori, Travelers Notebook or are just looking for booklets and DIY planners that you can fit in your purse, this tutorial will show you how to make your own saddle stitched inserts! This is SUPER easy to do. You will need waxed thread, I used 24lb. white paper (19 sheets) and 1 piece of card stock for the front for an 80 page booklet. I didn't have waxed thread so I used regular thread twice through, bad idea... it won't hold up the same, hold out for waxed thread if you can. You will need an awl or something to pierce through the paper. I cut my inner papers a little bit smaller than my outer, but you can cut them the same size. I cut my inner pages 8.25x8.75". Then my outer is 8.5" wide and I just cut off 2 inches from the bottom. So the top is 8.5x9". At the end I used a small saw to rough up my pages a bit, I like that look but if you like clean cut, you can definitely do that as well.
