These doughnuts are a perfect valentines day treat to make for your significant other or even your friends!! It will show them that you love them so much. They are so perfect for this occasion because they are super decadent with the hazelnut glaze, and super festive with the sprinkles!
Ingredients
For the Doughnuts:
2 cup flour
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1 tsp instant coffee powder
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
3/4 cup
2 egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 Tbsp butter, melted
For the hazelnut glaze:
2 cups powdered sugar
2 tbsp. Kahlua Liquor
1/8 tsp salt
1/2 cup Nutella
10-12 tbsp heavy cream
Directions:
For the donuts, mix all the dry ingredients in bowl. Add in the eggs, milk, vanilla and butter. Mix until well blended.
Spray donut pan with nonstick spray. Fill each donut cup about 3/4 full using a pastry bag or a ziplock bag.
Bake donuts at 325 degrees for 8-9 minutes.
To make the glaze, whisk sugar, Kaluha, and salt in a bowl. Whisk in the heavy cream till it becomes a nice thin consistency. Whisk Nutella and add a few more tablespoons of heavy cream if needed.
After, dip your doughnuts and place them on a cooling rack. Immediately add sprinkles, and allow them to sit till they dry.
