Hello everybody! For the past year I've been playing with the paper block mold and seeing which way is best for me to make a homemade duralog. I start by collecting old mails letters, packing paper, shopping magazines and thin cardboard. I soak that material in water for about 2-3 days. I place the wet material inside the mold, filling it to 3-/4 of the way and mold it. Once the paper block is made, I place it in a small over for about 12 hours at 300 degrees F. Once the block is completely dry, I place it inside a bucket filled with used motor oil and cooking oil letting it soak said oil. I strain it and the bag the block in 2 used Walmart shopping bag.
