Full step by step tutorial. Learn how to prepare your strips of fabric, how to start your basket and finish with a circular ending.
If you don't want the raw end look then this is the method for you. One side of the fabric is folded over and all strips are sewn together.
If you want a really solid firm basket with no raw edges on the surface than this method works great!

7/32" cotton clothesline 100 ft hank

1/4" cotton clothesline 100 ft hank

If you find a #8 rope. That is equivalent to 1/4".

Supply list:
- 1/4" (.6cm) cotton clothesline rope. I used about 52' (16 metres) for the basket in this video.
- metal clips that will fit over 1/4" (.6cm) rope
- fabric scissors
- lots of sewing thread that will match the color of your fabric
- lots of bobbins with thread that will match the color of your fabric
- 1 metre of quilting cotton fabric in your choice of color
- sewing machine
- cutting mat
- rotary cutter
-omnigrid ruler
- piece of cardboard to wrap up prepared fabric strips
- 4 sewing pins
- needle and thread for sewing the last circle to the basket
