Ability loadout switching turns combat into a resource-matching puzzle: players keep a set of weapons or abilities and freely swap to solve each fight. Inspired by Mega Man and Bioshock, it works for guns, spells, or melee alike.
In this Godot tutorial I build a weapon-swapping system: export a weapon stats list, wrap the index so it loops like Mega Man, emit signals, and sync animations. Freeze or explode obstacles, then clear the level.
