In this episode I show you how to make a simple walnut cutting board. I begin by making the template that I drew up in sketchup by gluing the paper template to a piece of 1/4" MDF. Next I cut the template to size by first cutting the angles at the table saw and then cut the curves at the band saw.

With the template complete, I can now use it to make the actual walnut cutting board. I begin by milling the walnut to 1 1/4" thick and then trace the template on the walnut board. Next I cut the walnut board to rough shape at the miter saw and band saw and then using a flush trim bit, I make the walnut the same exact shape as the template.

Finally I apply a few coats of finish and the board is done!
