Here's an UPDATE on my under $200 sliding door project. That's right, under $200 for everything including how to make the hardware for a sliding barn door!! I saved $1000-$2000 on this sliding door project. I made everything myself including making the hardware. Everyone loves a barn type door in their home because they take up less space and are very functional. This sliding barn door is very quiet and smooth and can be build by using locally sourced and purchased materials. Make this sliding barn type door for a large opening or a small opening. A sliding barn door will work for any size. This sliding door is perfect for regular sized homes or for tiny houses since there is no swing space needed. Sliding doors are compact.
