This video is a reminder to take into account how useful is the making of a mold to get precise covers in vinyl or leather. There are flat even surfaces which are easier to mold. But, the issue comes when we have to mold on a 'irregular/rounded' surface as th one of this video. These similar procedures are taught in our basic courses we have for sale on our website.
The 'points of reference' (V notches) are very useful useful as 'guides' to match the pieces to be sewn together.
A 'basting stitch' was used to close the open edges below. Be careful, to not sew the 'sewing machine stitches' too close to the edges, because vinyls are prone to tear.
For this case to avoid a bulky piping I trimmed off some seam excess on wrong side. If I would want to get even sides a 'tip' is to do a 'recess' all around the 'foam base edge sides' to house these seams.
