Upcycle a thrifted sweater into a host of angels for your Christmas Tree!
You Can Make This!
Supplies:
One thrifted cashmere sweater (mine is turquoise)
24 inches of 1/16-inch ivory satin ribbon
One yard of six-inch wide tulle to coordinate with sweater (mine is turquoise)
For face: One 20mm round wood head bead, Woodburning tool, Red acrylic paint, bamboo skewer, fine-point brown permanent marker, cosmetic blush, cotton swab, paper plate.
White felt,
20 inches of 5/8-inch wide flat white lace,
Needle and thread to gather lace,
Red/white baker's twine, Needle to accommodate twine,
Small ribbon bow (mine is from la petites)
Yarn for hair,
Two inches of 20 gauge gold wire and wire cutters,
Sewing machine and thread for wings,
Scissors,
Scalloped circle dies (I used Spellbinders Grand Nestabilities, LF-249)
OR you can use paper and a seven or eight-inch plate to create your own scalloped circle pattern!
Scalloped circle die for wings approximately 3.75 inches in diameter OR you can use a circle the same size! Easy!
