This step-by-step snowblower maintenance guide shows exactly where to lubricate, what grease to use, and what NOT to grease to keep your traction drive working smoothly.
In this video, I walk you through how to lubricate and grease the traction drive system on an Ariens Deluxe 24 snowblower. Hard shifting, sticking gears, and a loud or stiff drive system are often caused by dry linkage, chains, gears, and shafts inside the transmission. I’ll show you the correct lubrication points, the best grease and oil to use, how to protect the friction disc as well as the drive plate, and optional rust-prevention tips to extend the life of your snowblower.
