This video will show you how to lock the screen rotation on an Apple iPhone to keep it from rotating while doing this like watching videos.

To lock the screen rotation, simply drag up from the bottom edge of the screen.

This will open a menu that has several options for the phone, with the one on the top right that has an arrow circling around a lock.

Pressing that icon will lock the screen rotation. If you need to return to regular screen rotation, simply drag the menu up from the bottom, and click the lock again.
