Layering sunscreen with moisturizer and makeup can be tricky, especially if you have dry skin.

In this routine, we show how we layer:

Lightweight moisturizer
SPF 30 sunscreen
A few minutes of setting time
Cushion foundation

The chemist's tip? Give your sunscreen a few minutes to set before applying makeup, and use a patting motion with cushion foundation to help minimize disturbing the sunscreen film underneath.

And while SPF makeup can be a nice bonus, you're unlikely to apply enough makeup to get the labeled level of sun protection—so don't rely on it as your main sunscreen.
