How to italicize text in InDesign! How do you do that? You don’t! I assume your question is referring to artificially apply italics to text. That is a big preflight no-no. Back in the day, when QuarkXPress was king of the DTP mountain and InDesign just a dream within PageMaker, you could artificially apply italics to text. The way you get italicised text in InDesign is to choose the proper font typeface. For instance Arial Regular is in this document. We select it and change the weights of the font, from Regular in this case, to italic. There you have an italic set of text in Adobe InDesign!
