Experiencing problems with the water not being hot enough in my Symmons Temptrol Shower Valve I replaced the TA-10 Spindle which is in charge of the mix of hot and cold water when you turn the handle. It is a relatively easy job and recommended as part of the troubleshooting steps in the Symmons Temptrol Shower Valve manual. If this doesn't work, you probably have to replace the hot and cold seats but if your spindle is jammed and not working properly this might be all you need.
