One of the hardest things to learn how to ink is hair. 👩🏻🦰
A lot of artists try to draw every individual strand, but that usually makes the hair look messy and harder to read.
Instead, try thinking about the hair as a few simple 3D shapes. 🔥
In this paintover for one of my students, I started by blocking the hair in as a solid black shape. Then I added some texture and line variation to make it better.
Keep it simple. Think in big shapes first, details second.
