In this DROPS video we show you how to increase 4 stitches in 1 stitch, to create a flower. The increases can be used individually or above each other, creating a line of flowers – beautiful for raglan for example.
BEFORE STARTING THE VIDEO:
Work to the stitch where the increases are to be worked.
THE VIDEO SHOWS:
Work as follows in 1 stitch: * Knit 1 in the stitch below the stitch on the left needle, make 1 yarn over *, work from *-* 1 more time, then knit 1 more stitch in the stitch below the stitch on the left needle (1 stitch has become 5 stitches – 4 increased stitches).
The stitches and yarn overs are worked in stocking stitch on the next row, making sure the yarn overs are not twisted. If you are increasing like this more than once (above each other), begin the next increase in the middle of these 5 stitches.
