Evenness and control are major issues of piano technique that many piano learners don't give enough attention to... or might even be unaware of. They affect the overall quality of the music you make and how "professional" you sound at the piano keyboard.
Yet they're pretty difficult to fix by yourself, unless you have feedback or you've spent a long time learning how to listen to your own playing (which is less easy than you might think!). In this tutorial I look at a cool but simple trick you can use to measure your own evenness and control, and suggest some ways of improving both. You'll need a digital piano, a USB cable and a desktop/laptop PC or Mac, but that's all.
