I didn't publish this tutorial after I first shot it, because I thought it was a bit long and technical and didn't really "fit" the channel. However, so many people seem to ask "how you do you video your piano tutorials?" and so many people I've shown it to have found it useful, I thought I'd put it live.

Basically it covers how you can film yourself playing the piano, either because you want to make piano tutorial videos yourself, you want to share your playing or you just want to watch yourself playing the the piano. In it, I cover a couple of methods of filming the piano keyboard from above, one of them very cheap and simple (as long as you have a phone with a decent camera) and one that is a little more sophisticated.
The emphasis, even in the more sophisticated filming method, is on simplicity and doing things as cheaply as possible - you shouldn't have to spend a fortune to start videoing your piano playing. If you already have a phone they you can do everything with a simple mic stand (you'll find lots on eBay) and a few household bits and bobs.
I also cover the editing process, and especially the technique I use for layering audio on the video footage.
