Learning how to Humanly Kill an animal is one of the most important skills to learn for anyone living on a farm or homestead. When dispatching, culling, or killing chickens I use the cervical dislocation (breaking neck) method as it is very quick and painless for the animal as well as clean. Usually, I just use my hand but when you are dealing with a larger bird it can be a lot harder so using a stick, shovel handle or anything else similar makes it a much easier process.
