Zez Retro | How To Hook Up MiSTer FPGA S-Video & Composite @ZezRetro | Uploaded April 2022 | Updated October 2024, 17 hours ago.
Recently developer Mike Simone has been working on new builds of the MiSTer FPGA cores which can output S-video natively from the analog IO board. You might have seen these cores referred to as "YC".
In this video I explain how the signals are coming out of your IO board and show you a range of cables you could use in your setup.
As of the making of this videos these cores are still a work in progress. This video is designed to get you going with S-Video and composite as quickly as possible today. When the cores are finished, there should be a number of inexpensive off the shelf dongles you can purchase to achieve the same result.
