This is my 2nd design wind turbine generator. My 1st design wind turbine generator used one row of cd's around a bike wheel. On the second version I used a 2nd row of cd discs on the spokes of the bike wheel to capture more wind to power it. I found that this wind turbine will rotate at a much lower wind speed and still produce LED light due to the better positioning of the reluctor nuts on the wheel. It uses a crank sensor from a Chevrolet engine to create a pulse to power the led's as the nuts attached to the bike wheel pass it.
