Our Founding Pastor, Willie George, continues week nine of our teaching series, Summer in the Psalms.
Psalm 119:165 reminds us that great peace does not come automatically—it comes as we learn to love, trust, and apply God’s Word. In a world full of confusing thoughts, shifting feelings, and real temptation, Scripture gives us something stronger than our emotions and more reliable than our understanding.
In this message, Pastor George explores the following Scriptures:
PSALM 119:165 KJV
165 Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
ISAIAH 26:3 NKJV
3 You will keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you.
PHILIPPIANS 4:7 NKJV
7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
JAMES 1:2 NKJV
2 My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials,
MATTHEW 4:1 NKJV
1 Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil.
MATTHEW 4:2-3 NKJV
2 And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. 3 Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”
MATTHEW 3:16-17 NKJV
16 When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. 17 And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
MATTHEW 4:4 NKJV
4 But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”
GENESIS 1:29 NKJV
29 And God said, “See, I have given you every herb that yields seed which is on the face of all the earth... to you it shall be for food."
EPHESIANS 6:13,17 NKJV
13 Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day...
2 CORINTHIANS 10:3-4 KJV
3 For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh:
4 (For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal [natural], but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;)
2 CORINTHIANS 10:5 KJV
5 Casting down imaginations...
GENESIS 3:4-5 KJV
4 And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: 5 For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil.

About Church on the Move:
We are a family of churches in northeast Oklahoma. Our mission is to introduce people to the real Jesus. A lot of people know about Jesus but have yet to experience the life-changing power of His grace and truth. Knowing Jesus has transformed our lives, so our goal for each of our worship services, from our kids’ environments on up, is to help people know that same love.
We actively pursue Jesus in everything we do and we believe He’s given us a vision for a church that is deeply centered on Him and His word.

![Take Your Thoughts Captive
Our Founding Pastor, Willie George, wraps up our teaching series, Summer in the Psalms.
Psalm 119:165 shows us that great peace is possible, but it does not come automatically. Peace comes as we learn to love God’s Word, trust what He says above what we feel, and take responsibility for the thoughts we allow to shape us.
In this message, Pastor George explores the following Scriptures:
Psalm 119:165 KJV
Great peace have they which love thy law: and nothing shall offend them.
Isaiah 26:3 NKJV
You will keep him in perfect peace, Whose mind is stayed on You, Because he trusts in You.
Philippians 4:7 NKJV
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
James 1:22 NKJV
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only...
James 1:2 NKJV
My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials.
Matthew 4:1-3 NKJV
Then Jesus was led up by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. And when He had fasted forty days and forty nights, afterward He was hungry. Now when the tempter came to Him, he said, “If You are the Son of God, command that these stones become bread.”
Matthew 3:16-17 NKJV
When He had been baptized, Jesus came up immediately from the water; and behold, the heavens were opened to Him, and He saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting upon Him. And suddenly a voice came from heaven, saying, “This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.”
Matthew 4:4 NKJV
But He answered and said, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God.’ ”
Matthew 4:11 NKJV
Then the devil left Him, and behold, angels came and ministered to Him.
Deuteronomy 8:2-3 NKJV
...The Lord your God led you all the way these forty years in the wilderness, to humble you and test you... So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna… that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but… by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the Lord.
2 Corinthians 10:3-4 KJV
For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war after the flesh: 4 For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but mighty through God to the pulling down of strong holds;
2 Corinthians 10:5 KJV
Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;
Ephesians 6:13,17 NKJV
Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day… And take the...sword of the Spirit, which is the [spoken] word of God.
