We started YouTube in July of 2019 and FINALLY made it to 1000 subscribers in October 2021. It was a battle as we originally had a travel channel that had to make it through the issues of 2020.

Really this video is showing, at least in our case, there is no "secret". It is a journey of the up's and down's you will feel while trying to achieve that illusive goal of 1000 subscribers on YouTube and getting yourself monetized.

Unlike a lot of the youtubers out there that seem to be able to get to 1000 subscribers really easily and within months, that was not our experience. Hopefully this video shows you can still make it with a slights more protracted and harder journey.
