Getting better decision-making is really challenging. In this video, I discuss some ways we can do that to keep practice quality high!
00:00 Intro
01:00 Increasing Knowledge
10:50 Process
Increasing knowledge:
1. Reverse engineer the logic of pro players and matches to increase your logical understanding
2. Copy what top players are doing whether it's micro or macro and experience it in game yourself
3. Think in principles where possible so you can become better at analysis - why is this good, or bad? What are the advantages or disadvantages?
Improving process to help decision-making:
1. Judge yourself on decision-making and not outcomes
2. Ask yourself if the play you made was good or bad--would you do it again? How would you do it differently?
3. Identify one or two key mistakes of the day - what principles exist? Is the mistake about misunderstanding advantages? angles? information? Try to create a solution to help you improve it, ie. looking at the minimap more, understanding angles better, etc.
4. Have a small amount of things to focus on throughout your week -- don't overload
5. Review focuses at the end of the day for 5 minutes
6. Review focuses from the previous day and whether you will give them attention before you start your practice day
