You need to feed the beast that is social media - your channels require fresh content to keep your mission moving forward. It’s easy to feel stuck, like you can’t imagine just what you could make a video about next.
To get unstuck, you need to create a well to draw ideas from. Picture the person you want to speak to. Now, write down 10 of their biggest pain points, that is, things that are keeping them from engaging with your mission.
These can be things like, they don’t have any time, or there are too many other distractions, or they don’t think they have the money to participate, or they don’t think they’re good enough.
If you have access to a group of people like those you want in your audience, send out a brief survey to glean key insights.
Once you have a list of 10 pain points, now brainstorm how to address these concerns. Each solution can become multiple videos! So if they don’t think they have money to participate, make a video about your scholarship opportunities and another video about a participant who found the means to attend.
That list becomes a constant well from which new video ideas can flow – high-impact videos that will directly advance your mission.
