I’m prepping a small concrete slab just off the patio to hold a charcoal grill. I started by building a simple frame using scrap wood, then used it to mark and remove the soil. After digging out the area, I set the frame in place, leveled it with wooden stakes, and added a few bags of all-purpose stone for drainage. Now the form is ready for concrete.
