With it's cheap fuel, free landings and approaches, great weather and amazing scenery, being able to fly in the USA is often an ambition for UK pilots. But how do you go about it? In this video I talk about the FAA Piggyback certificate, that allows you to fly an 'N' registered aircraft in the USA.
I talk you through the steps, from getting your UK licence verified, arranging an appointment at an FAA FSDO office, and then completing a 'flight review'.
As part of my flight in the Cirrus G7 from Aviator Training Palm Beach Florida, I get used to the Garmin Autopilot, conduct an RNP approach at an uncontrolled airfield and practice slow flight.

Before I had my propeller dynamically balanced by Proptech, I used to experience quite a lot of vibration in the cruise. Proptech came to my airfield with their equipment and after a short time they'd tuned-up my prop so that the cruise is silky smooth (turbulence permitting!)
