Having just obtained my full IR rating, I was excited to make my airways debut. Unlike many other parts of the world, the UK has class A airspace as low as 2500ft and it covers much of London and the South East of England. This airspace has been out of bounds to me, until now.
On this flight, I take off from Redhill (A VFR-only airport) and then join controlled airspace. I am routed through London's airspace to the north to eventually land after a radar-vectored ILS approach at Teesside airport.
