How To Fix Google Play Store Error 498 on Android Devices ?
This Error Happens when you try to download a Large App .This issue is related to Cache .
Method 1: Clear the cache and data of
i) Google Play Store
ii) Google Play Services
iii) Google Services Framework
iv) Download Manager
If you Don't see Google Services Framework or Download Manager,leave it .
v) Remove Your Google Account and Re-Add it again .
If you have more than one google Account Associated,Remove everyone.
Step 1: Go to settings,and then accounts,and then Google
Step 2: Remove your all google(gmail) accounts .
Step 3: Add Your Google Account again .
Step 4: Reboot your Phone and Go to Play Store and Try to download an app.
Method 2:
Uninstall the Updates of Google play store if you have it.
Go to Settings,and then Apps ,and then Uninstall Play Store Updates .
Method 3:
Reboot into recovery and wipe cache partition and from Advanced --Wipe Dalvik Cache.
Ways to get Into recovery mode on Samsung ,if you have other Phone ,try to find from your manufacturer ,how to get into recovery mode .
For Samsung Phones:
Step 1: Turn off the device.
Step 2:Now, press and hold the Volume Up, Power and Home buttons until you see the Samsung screen. Now,Release the Power button but continue to press Home and Volume Up until you are brought to the recovery mode .
Step 3: Press the Volume down key several times to highlight 'wipe cache partition'.

Step 4: Press Power button to select and it will wipe cache Partition.
For Wiping Dalvik cache
Step 3: Press the Volume down key several times to highlight 'Advance' .
Step 4: Press Power button to select and then Wipe dalvik cache .
Reboot Your Phone
Method 4: Try to Use another Wi-Fi
Sometimes ,it could be due to ISP issues ,if you are using 2G/3G or 4G data Packs,Use Wi-Fi or if you are connected to Wi-Fi then try to use another Wi-Fi network and try to install or update an app .
Method 5:
Sometimes ,Google Servers Might be the Issue .So ,try to download after some time .
Method 6:
Factory Reset your Phone
In worst cases if above methods does not work for you ,then Factory Reset your Phone .
