To fix auto-rotate issues on your Android phone, start by enabling auto-rotate, check home screen rotation, restart your phone, calibrate sensors, and remove interfering apps or phone cases

1. Enable Auto-Rotate
Swipe down from the top of your screen twice to open the Quick Settings menu.

Look for the Auto-Rotate icon. If it says “Portrait” or “Landscape,” tap it to enable auto-rotate.
Alternatively, go to Settings Display and turn on Auto-rotate screen

2. Enable Home Screen Rotation (if needed)
On Samsung phones: Settings Home Screen Rotate to Landscape Mode.

On Google Pixel: Tap and hold the home screen, select Home Settings Allow Home Screen Rotation

3. Restart Your Phone
Often, minor system glitches prevent screen rotation.
Press and hold the Power button, then select Restart or Reboot

4. Avoid Touching the Screen During Rotation
Auto-rotate may lock if the phone detects your finger on the screen.
Hold your phone by the edges and rotate slowly to test if orientation changes

5. Remove Phone Case or Screen Protector
Magnetic or bulky cases can interfere with sensors.
Try rotating your phone without the case to see if auto-rotate works
