There is nothing like a broken garage opener to frustrate your day. One day it works, and the next day, nothing. My opener worked for 12 years just fine. But when mine quit working, I asked my neighbors if they had had this experience, and they DID.
One neighbor replaced his whole unit for $350; another replaced the motor for $150. When I searched the web, I found that you can replace the front panel with the circuit board. But, the solution I chose was to have my circuit board repaired for $50.
In this video, I explain the process and show you how to do it yourself.
