DIY Home & Garden Projects | 7 foot Bar Table made with Pecan wood @DIYHGP | Uploaded 2 years ago | Updated 5 hours ago
I begin with milling the lumber from a pecan tree. The tree had been on the ground for two years before we milled it. I wanted to get a beam style, size of lumber to build a bar top. After cutting the slab to approximate size, we left it to dry for over a year. Then I moved it from Oak Hill Ranch to Dallas. Because of the size, I took it to a shop to be jointed and planned. This piece had a few bugs still in it. After ridding of the insects, I filled the holes with my Knottec knot filler. Then finished with Rock Hard Table top varnish. Thanks to Drew Presley for building the table base.
