Enable AI agent creation in Oracle Analytics Cloud by granting the Create and Edit AI Agents permission to approved authors.
Check out additional instructions on how to assign DV Content Author or a custom role in the Console under Roles and Permissions at the resources linked below.
In this demo, you learn how administrators can enable authors to create AI agents in Oracle Analytics Cloud by configuring roles and permissions. AI agents help consumers get consistent answers from data by using author-defined prompt instructions and organization panel knowledge, with authors building and configuring agents and consumers using them during analysis.
The walkthrough starts from the home page as an administrator. You open Navigator, go to Console, and select Roles and Permissions. On the Permissions tab, you locate Create and Edit AI Agents to confirm the fine-grained permission required to create and edit AI agents.
Next, you confirm which application role includes this permission by default. The demo shows that DV Content Author provides access. You then open the Application Roles tab, select DV Content Author, and add approved users from the Members tab. Finally, you validate the setup by confirming the author appears as a member of the role.
If you need more controlled governance, the demo also shows the option to create a custom application role, add the Create and Edit AI Agents permission to it, and assign only the appropriate users. Once permissions are in place, approved authors can create AI agents for consumers to use from the assistant panel, within workbooks, or as standalone agents.
