The reason AMD GPUs were not officially supported in Blender 4.1's release is the developers deemed it too unstable, despite the feature being available in the beta. To make Blender safer, HIP was excluded from being available. However, HIP can be included in the supported GPU devices for OIDN denoising when adding an environment variable.
