This short tutorial is the best way to port YOUR Source Filmmaker subscriptions over to Blender in the form of an asset library. Not only do the materials, models and maps get ported, but intricate things such as animations, body groups, skin groups and more are preserved.
thank you @bongopod for your feature!
Prerequisites:
1. Blender 4.0 download.blender.org/release/Blender4.0
- More info: Plumber v.1.0.2 was released while making this video, supposedly adding support for 4.1. You are welcome to try this in 4.1 or newer versions, but use 4.0 if you experience any bugs.
2. SourceIO github.com/REDxEYE/SourceIO/releases
3. Plumber github.com/hisprofile/Plumber/releases/tag/v1.0.1
- More info: Plumber v1.0.2 was released while making this video and was not merged with my fork, therefore rendering it unsupported with my porting tools. Until then, you will have to use my custom build.
