Watcher: Fallen Vigil is a World Boss introduced as part of Genshin Impact's 6.5 update as part of the newly added Mondstadt region expansion. The boss can be found in a large arena in the far north of the new region.

Watcher: Fallen Vigil is an extremely simple boss when it comes to its attacks. It only has about 4 moves: a double swipe, a double lunge, a spear throw, and a slam. The only other thing Watcher: Fallen Vigil does is that it will spin in a circle and begin channeling. When you hit Watcher: Fallen Vigil during this period with either Pyro, Electro, Hydro, or Cryo, 3 times, it will absorb that element and become affected by it. It will absorb twice, and it can absorb the same element twice, the second time will require 9 hits if it was the same element it absorbed previously. Which elements it absorbs only matters during its nuke phase, where it will go to the center of the arena and spawn two pillars that are the same element as the ones it has absorbed. If it did not absorb any elements, they will be neutral pillars with far more tankiness than otherwise, so it's recommended to absorb elements. If you destroy these pillars, it will deal damage to the boss and stun it, allowing you a small DPS phase before the boss fight resumes as normal. Should you fail to destroy the pillars in time, the boss will drop two large four-pointed-star shaped meteors on your location that you can very easily dash out of the AoE of.

MANDATORY UNITS:
Absolutely none

RECOMMENDED UNITS:
Use whatever team makes sense to you, I guess. Use your favorite team, otherwise you can just choose something that can absorb and then easily kill all pillars, like Hydro and Pyro.

MAYBE DON'T BRING THESE UNITS:
None lol except maybe not Dendro/Geo/Anemo units because they can't be absorbed and that makes killing the pillars harder.
