Demonstration by Lin Dan, an Olympic Champ + Explanation of How the Flick Serve in done! (Subtitles Available for our non-mandarin speaking friends!)

Prerequisite: To have watched the video on how to do the low serve. youtu.be/U2mHCoja9XM

The flick serve is an extension of the low serve, but bringing your racket and shuttle forward, it changes the angle of the butt of the shuttle, resulting in the shuttle traveling a lot higher.

Adjust the height by adjusting how much you bring your hands forward.

The challenge most people face is getting the shuttle to the baseline. Understand that for this to work, you need both power and technique, particularly getting the sweet spot of the racket.

So like what I have constantly nagged in this video, keep practicing and good luck!!
