I've been wondering and fiddling for a while now, trying to find the perfect way to make the same sort of designs as my favorite 3D style fluid artists. I've been cutting holes in yogurt pots, generally making a big mess. Then I saw a video from Sauve Arts where she used the bottom of a plastic pop bottle and it's perfect for this! I did cut some slits into the rim of mine, to try to get the paint to flow through to the center of the bottle as well as the outside, but it didn't turn out as well I would hope. I think you will need larger holes for the paint to flow inwards. Or perhaps do this on a canvas where the weight of paint will encourage it to flow more to the center.

Our challenge set by Sarah of Bakerboo Paints was to use a monochromatic style color scheme, pour the paint in puddles, then tilt and then use a fork to create a design. My idea of feathers didn’t work out because I made my puddles too large and there wasn’t space between them for the ‘feathery-bits’. So I thought I could do better. I might have been wrong about that.

Recipe:
Paints were mixed 1 part floetrol to 2 parts paint and then water as needed for consistency. No silicone in any of the paints.
