I've been looking for ways to bring tiles together that don't quite match and make them a set. I tried stenciling and oh dear, I am so bad at crafty things. I messed up in so many ways. I don't think I have the patience for it. However, I think the idea of adding a matching motif on painted tiles is a good one and so I was determined to give it another try. This time, I will be stenciling with texture paste.

Our challenge set by Sarah of Bakerboo Paints was to use a monochromatic style color scheme, pour the paint in puddles, then tilt and then use a fork to create a design. My idea of feathers didn’t work out because I made my puddles too large and there wasn’t space between them for the ‘feathery-bits’. So I thought I could do better. I might have been wrong about that.

Recipe:
Paints were mixed 1 part floetrol to 2 parts paint and then water as needed for consistency. No silicone in any of the paints.
